Offensive Actions
Do not use language and/or images that may be offensive to other members. Such as abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Language that include profanity, or that violate other rules are not allowed.

Links to images from sites other than the Forums
Any link to images that are deemed offensive, obscene, vulgar or will be removed and the poster will be warned. If the image linked to is of a sexual nature, the poster will be automatically removed and banned for life. StudyLight does not condone any posting of material or images that belittle either gender and will not tolerate such actions.

Law Violations
Do not promote or solicit illegal activities or violate any copyright laws.

Flooding and Duplicate Posts
Do not create an execessive amount of topics in a short period of time about the same subject. An example would be someone creating 10 topics within 2 minutes about their website before receiving any replies. Do not create duplicate "Copy and Paste" topics, even if they are located in different forums. Constantly posting on "dead" topics which receive no replies to spam another website's services is also considered flooding.

Other Boards
Links to other forums are allowed depending the the site content and/or forum subjects. In no way do we endorse or are responsible for the off-site links that users post. Links to forums that may be offensive or insulting to others will be removed based on the Moderators decision.

Blatant Spamming
If the majority of your posts or reason for being here is to spam other websites, then topics will be moderated. This rule is in place for those who only come here to spam and nothing else, which doesn't help the Christian community.

Mimicing
Do not impersonate other members of studylightforums.org. This would result in your immediate ban.

Moderation Complaints
If you have a question or comment regarding a moderation, contact the Admin (jgarrison) or the Moderators privately. Complaints posted which concern forum moderations will be either locked or removed, since a lot of members wish to enjoy the forums without having to put up with the drama.

Be civil in all aspects
Please do not use community areas to air your grievances against other fellow members. If you have observed a violation of the Terms of Service please use the Offender Report Form instead. (This includes violations or allegations of inappropriate actions by the volunteer staff and administration.)

Trolling
You will not harass, threaten, embarrass or distress members, either in the community itself or via personal email, phone, physical mail or in person. You will not engage in name-calling or personal attacks in the course of discussion or debate. You will not post inflammatory remarks simply for the purpose for evoking reaction or starting fights with other community members (Often referred to as "trolling"). Overall, promoting a spirit of divisiveness in the chat and forums community will not be tolerated. Attacking the character or motives of someone who differs with your view or denying that he or she is a Christian is unacceptable.

Don't be disruptive
Do not disrupt the normal flow of dialog in the community or act in a manner that negatively affects other members, including and perhaps especially in the defense of Christianity, in offering unwelcome spiritual counsel, or in debating doctrinal issues. Respect someone's request if they say they don't believe in Christ or are doubting their faith and express that they do not wish to discuss it, don't try to "cram" Jesus down their throat. If another Christian disagrees with you theologically do not immediately jump to the conclusion that they are not truly saved just because they disagree, as there are differences of opinion in translating Biblical doctrine.

Respect the Rules
Do not make any insults against the moderators or the administrator of studylightforums.org.

Final Statement
StudyLightForums.org offers this free service for the promotion of good Christian dialogue among the diverse members of the body of Christ. Anyone who deliberately violates the rules to cause trouble will be warned or banned depending on the severity of their actions. The Site Administrator and Moderators have the right to edit or delete any message, titles, member name, signature, image or related content on its boards at any time, without notification.

While the Administrator and Moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the Administrator and Moderators (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable. You agree that the Site Administrator and Moderators reserve the right to delete any message for any reason whatsoever if they feel it is inappropiate.

Furthermore, we reserve the right to not disclose our reasons for deleting message(s). StudyLightForums.org is not responsible for the loss of any messages, or any other data stored in the database. The forums are free of use by all members therefore StudyLightForums.org has the right to make any necessary changes to the forums if deemed necessary. If a topic you have created is moved to the appropiate forum by the Site Administrator or Moderators, do not consider this as a punishment, it is just a way to keep the forums organized. However if you continue to deliberately post in the wrong forums or create identical topics in more then one forum you would be politely informed of where to post your topics. I try not to be strict on this matter and understand some members do not really understand where to post certain messages. Should a violation of the rules result in a user being banned, any new accounts created by the user will also be banned. Please respect the members of StudyLightForums.org and enjoy your stay. Use this site to meet new friends, there is no need to stir up trouble and it will not be tolerated.

Repeated or severe violations of the rules after banishment or engaging in actions we deem as abuse of the boards will result in dire consequences (you’ll be turned over to the proper authorities in the case of illegal activity.) If you do not agree to these rules or choose not to obey them, then do not post here.
